Diana Al Sakka (Marketing & Events Manager)
Debbie joined Al Zarooni Group in 1998 and currently holds the position of General Manager for both Mercato and Town Centre Jumeirah. With a Degree in Business and additional specializations and training with the accredited ICSC and MECSC (International and Middle East Council of Shopping Centres) in shopping centre professional development (levels 1&2) facilities management, finance, leasing and tourism/marketing. Debbie is instrumental in maintaining the asset(s), re-planning the tenancy mix and sourcing new brands to enhance the consumer experience. Debbie has successfully maintained an occupancy rate of 100% for more than a decade. Recognized and honored by more than 30 government bodies and institutions for her personal contribution to the industry and those of the organizations that she runs, Debbie won The World Business Leader Award
by The World Confederation of Businesses. Debbie’s professional industry experience is extensive and includes working closely with DSMG (The Dubai Shopping Malls Groups) and strategizing city wide promotions with the relevant Government bodies and institutions.
Alesia Troshko (Operations Manager)
Diana joined Al Zarooni Group in 2012 and holds the position of Marketing and Events Manager for Mercato and Town Centre Jumeirah. Diana graduated from The American University of Sharjah, one of the leading universities in the region, with a degree in Mass Communication and a Concentration in Advertising. Her professional experience includes working in Abu Dhabi for The National Health Insurance Company Daman, the region’s leading specialized health insurer which entailed developing and implementing various sales and distribution channels for the company’s products, launching new initiatives and products and managing corporate events, conferences and CSR initiatives. In 2012, Diana took a new challenge by joining the mall industry pursuing her passion for retail and fashion.
Diana’s position in Mercato and Town Centre Jumeirah covers a variety of functions such as managing events, promotions and marketing campaigns, developing marketing strategies to meet the mall’s objectives, enriching the positioning and image of the malls and working with retailers to maximize sales and achieve business growth.
Nisreen Boustani (PR & Corporate Communications Manager)
Ezeh Godson (Head of Security)
Nisreen joined Al Zarooni Group in 2013 and holds the position of PR & Corporate Communications Manager for Mercato and Town Centre Jumeirah. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Foreign Languages (English & Arabic), from Aleppo University in Syria, a Travel & Tourism Diploma and a Marketing & Sales Diploma, Nisreen is passionate about travel and communications. Nisreen started her professional career in the fashion and retail industry working for Al Tayer Group in Dubai which included working on prestigious brands such as Dolce & Gabbana. Nisreen went on to work for a brand new shopping mall in Dubai in 2008, where she spent five years handling the Tourism Marketing and Public Relations activities. Today, Nisreen is the face of Mercato and Town Centre Jumeirah and is responsible for all PR, Corporate Communications and the tourist marketing programme at Mercato.
Edwin D’Souza (Head of Engineering & Maintenance)
Ezeh joined Al Zarooni Group in 2005 and currently holds the position of Head of Security for Mercato and Town Centre Jumeirah. Ezeh has a Degree in Physics (B.Sc), a University Diploma in Aviation Security Management from Edith Cowan University in Perth, Australia, and is certified as a Project Management Professional from The Project Management Institute in America. Ezeh started his professional career working with the Nigerian Police Force and The United Nations Peace Keeping Force. In 2000 he moved to Dubai to work for Al Masa Security and went on to successfully set up the security requirement parameters at The National Bank of Ras Al Khaimah. Ezeh offers over 15 years’ solid experience in the security field and is a member of internationally acclaimed security professional bodies, such as OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Administration), ASIS (International American Society of Industrial Security), ICSC and MECSC (International and Middle East Council of Shopping Centres). Ezeh’s training includes Security Manager Professional development from The Dubai Police Academy.
Shifan Kuraish (Accountant)
Edwin joined Al Zarooni Group in 2004 and currently holds the position of Head of Engineering & Maintenance for Mercato and Town Centre Jumeirah. Edwin has a Higher Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Diploma in Architectural Engineering and 3D Max. He began his career as a Site Engineer at The Ministry of Defence & Air Force in Saudi Arabic (KSA) which gave him invaluable knowledge and experience in the field. Later, he moved to Dubai and worked for The Dubai Islamic Bank Group as a Team Leader in the engineering department. Professional experience includes fire and safety training from Government authorities, Haccap Training (Hazard analysis and critical control points). What’s more, Edwin is a member of ASHRAE (The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers).
Gina Lim Martinez (PRIVILEGEPLUS Loyalty Programme Manager)
Shifan joined Al Zarooni Group in 2014 and currently holds the position of Accountant for Mercato and Town Centre Jumeirah. Shifan graduated from The Institute of Certified Professional Managers (ACPM) and is a finalist of The Institute of Chartered Accountants (ACA) in Sri Lanka. Shifan started his career as a trainee accountant at Ernst & Young and was soon promoted to Senior Auditor and a few years later to Senior Accountant. In 2010 Shifan joined Softlogic Holdings PLC as the group’s Accountant which covered the service industry, construction, real estate and an overseas subsidiary in Australia. In 2014 Shifan moved to Dubai to further his career and began working as an internal auditor for Al Zarooni Group. Within a few months, Shifan was offered a full time position heading up the finance department for their shopping malls.
Elizabeth Rothman (Customer Service Manager)
Gina joined Al Zarooni Group in 2010 and currently holds the position of PRIVILEGEPLUS Loyalty Programme Manager for Mercato and Town Centre Jumeirah. Gina graduated in The Philippines with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and began her professional career in the human resources/recruitment and accounting industry (specializing in payroll, benefits and book keeping) combined with administration and management in the retail industry. Gina went on to work alongside the Recruitment Administrator at Hotbrands International in Dubai to select, screen and interview applicants for various hospitality positions. Since joining Mercato and Town Centre Jumeirah, Gina has been heavily involved in the management and growth of the loyalty programme, PRIVILEGEPLUS, which today has over 8,500 loyal members.
Moinudeen Umar (IT Manager)
Elizabeth joined Al Zarooni Group of companies in 2015 and currently holds the position of Customer Service Manager for both Mercato and Town Centre Jumeirah. Elizabeth gained her Degree in Business Administration Major in Management. Elizabeth has an impressive background and her professional experience spans the globe. Having also worked for a leading retail company in South Africa.
In 2012 Elizabeth moved with her family to Dubai, growing her career within Marketing in the retail fashion industry, this included working on prestigious & luxury brands such as La Senza, Carolina Herrera, Agent Provocateur and Colette by Colette Hayman. Elizabeth’s position in Mercato and Town Centre covers a variety of functions, from training the employees to be knowledgeable in the offer and deliver an outstanding Customer Service experience to managing lost and found services and assisting marketing to insure the brand ethos reach our customer.
Moinudeen joined Al Zarooni Group in 2012 and currently holds the position of IT Manager for Mercato and Town Centre Jumeirah. Moinudeen has a Bachelor’s and a Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA) and a post graduate Diploma in Software Marketing. Moinudeen began his professional career working in the IT field as a system and network administrator for major multi-lateral groups of companies in Dubai, such as ETA, an Al Ghurair conglomerate and Al Ghurair Trading Group. Moinudeen has also undergone professional training and is a Microsoft Certificated System Administrator. In 2012, Moinudeen moved to Mercato and Town Centre Jumeirah to take on a new challenge in the retail industry and manages all IT requirements for both shopping malls.
